Alchemy Lore
Adept is a game built around the idea that the character is more important than the gear they carry. Even so, every adventurer needs some equipment such as armor and weapons. In Adept, a small arsenal of alchemy items can also make a difference. Though they are not needed per se, these items can make some encounters much easier.
Alchemy is a skill in Adept that any character can take, though most character’s will simply buy the items they want.
Alchemy items come in several varieties; potions, poisons, oils, materials, and instruments.
Magical Tattoos
Magical tattoos are called Nasha, or Nasha tattoos to differentiate them from purely decorative tattoos. They are made with an alchemy material called Nasha Ink, which is very expensive. These tattoos are crafted on one of the character’s chakra points and can gift a variety of lesser powers to the bearer. Less powerful (and thus less expensive) tattoos will have smaller effects such as boosting one’s carrying capacity or long distance sight. More powerful nasha can allow one to breathe fire or hide from divinations.
